We looked at Viagogo to purchase tickets for the Wales v England 6 Nations game - Viagogo is a recommended resale site on the Scottish rugby site so we thought it was ok. False countdowns and unclear pricing left us paying more than we can afford.

The booking fee was an unbelievable £375 - undisclosed until the payment had been authorised. I immediately tried to stop the payment through my bank but was unable to (I explained that I had not authorised that amount, but the response was 'tough'). The tickets have arrived but we need to resell them because we cannot afford the price. BUT we have looked to resell them through a better website - Seatwave, but they cannot validate the tickets because they should have never been offered up for resale in the first place (they had been allocated to a rugby club on the condition of no resale).

Viagogo are selling tickets that might as well be stolen - they cannot be resold.

If we now resell them we are knowlingly being fraudulent. We can get no response from Viagogo and trading standards aren't interested because the company is registered as Swiss.

Product or Service Mentioned: Viagogo Wales Vs England Rugby Ticket.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $1780.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Massive rip off prices and massive ticket surcharges, Hidden costs and inability to contact.
